La Maceration du Soula No 19 (orange wine) NV – Domaine Le Soula

76% Vermentino (vines of 26 years of average age), 24% Macabeu (vines of 52 years of average age).

Colour of burnished copper. Fresh and intoxicating aromas – marmalade, orange peel, nuts and peach blossom – complex and stunning. Mouth is soft, dry and full of flavors of fresh and lively fruit. Unlike a lot of orange wine, the fruit is ripe, fresh and full of life with real elegance and precision. The finish is dry and textured but doesn’t stop still with that blotting-paper feel you sometimes associate with orange wine – it’s almost subtle and could rightly be called a fine wine.
